Shoe hurling has become a latest fad among the audience to show their dislike for the speaker or leader at the podium. It started with the shoe being hurled at president Bush on his visit to Iraq, which was constantly televised on all channels, then followed by a shoe being hurled at P.Chidambaram, regarding the issue of Jagdish Tytler, and now the latest one the shoe missile being aimed at our prime minister. Now somewhere a line has to drawn, and such abhorrent action cannot be condoned and dismissed lightly. Thanks to media coverage such cheap actions catch on like wild fire. Such an offence should be punishable, and a better way to express one’s dislike can be resorted to.
